It Started With a Dream

In the great land of Italy
Came a boy from the meadows of Becchi
A land that was struck with drought
And people‘s lives were starting to rot.

But this boy brought out a change
With a dream that seemed so strange
Educating youngsters was his theme
And it all started with a dream.

Even in this world‘s great fiasco
Everyone remembers St. John Bosco
When they see a priest assisting a boy
And other tasks that radiate joy.

We too are called today
Not just to sit and pray
But to go out and bear fruit
And, if possible, plant new shoots.

Get ready to join the revolution
Started by a boy coming from a poor condition
But today has formed a river from a stream
And it all started with a dream.
