I have a dream today. I have a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed: "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal." What did Martin Luther King Junior actually mean when he gave this famous speech? Was it a dream that he had one night that was never meant to be real or was it a line- of- action to abide by? I would go with the second part of the question. The speech he gave was a line of action or a plan for life that had specifications about who, what, where, when, why and how.
A dream can either remain as a fairytale fantasy or can be used as a vision for the future. Great visionaries like Varghese Kurien, Ratan Tata, Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King Junior, Don Bosco and so on transformed their dreams into visions and hence they were able to do much more than just dream. One might ask: What is the reason for an emphasis or dreaming or what is the need to dream? The answer is well worded by Steven Spielberg, a filmmaker who says, "I don‘t dream at night, I dream at day, I dream all day; I‘m dreaming for living."
There is much depth to what Steven says about dreaming. It is like saying that a person who dreams lives fully while the one who doesn‘t is directionless. Hence having a dream is of great importance. When dreaming we should dream big, something that will really enable us to put our heart, soul and mind to it so that satisfaction and fulfillment come as end results. At the same time the dream should be something that is achievable and possible or it will only end up as an idea in the mind with no physical reality.
Dream= Vision= Life
Dream big
Be realistic
Trust God
Have faith in yourself
KEEP DREAMING!!!
